Red Rock Canyon only 15minutes from our door!

Mile High Adventure

Well after moving our stuff in our new ozoned apartment. We decided to take a day trip to Denver, and drop our wonderful crew off at the airport for their return trips to Oregon. We went to a little restaurant known as Casa Bonita, featuring some interesting Mexican food, cliff diving, Bart's cave, and many little campers. We then checked out 2 of the stadiums in Denver, the Bronco's Invesco Field (formerly known as Mile High) and the Rockies Coors Field. Both were really cool. Denver features the 16th street mall just down the street from Coors Field, it is much like Pioneer Square and downtown Portland, but longer straight stretch. It included many stores, shops, and one really cool tower that Bret managed to find for us, we scaled all the way to the top, although I'm pretty sure we weren't supposed to :) There were some odd decor on the way including an angel like skelleton, some mats, and candles. The view from the top was fantastic though! We then hiked to the U.S. Mint to look at the outside of the building since tours close at 2 pm. It was off to dinner at TGIF's and then to the airport to return our crew.
